Experience
My experience as a piano tutor began in 1998 when my then saxophone teacher asked me to start taking on pupils at his studio which I did until I moved away to university. After university I continued to teach the piano and keyboard privately, across the age and ability range (from primary age children to retirees). In 2006 I began teaching piano at City College Plymouth (then PCFE), and also taught a class of students three units on the BTEC Music Practice (Performing) course at Plymouth’s Soundhouse. In January 2009 I became the piano and keyboard teacher at Devonport High School for Boys and Coombe Dean School in Plymouth and in September 2015 I started at College Road Primary. Between the academic years 2009-2013 I was also the part-time classroom Music teacher at Coombe Dean School. I taught classes from Year 7 through to Year 13 and led various extra-curricular groups including the school’s Jazz Band, Soul Band and Show Band.
